Consumer Credit Card Debt

Revisit your budget on a regular basis to control your consumer credit card debt

Remember that budgets need to be realistic and flexible to work in conjunction with your consumer credit card debt. Setting your goals too high will only cause you unnecessary frustration. Keep simple but accurate and complete records and don’t forget to predict future needs and problems when you attack your consumer credit card debt. If you realize an increase in income, consider using the additional money to establish a savings account.

Consumer Credit Card Debt can be negotiated

Your counselor may even be able to negotiate a consumer credit card debt repayment plan with your creditors to reduce interest rates and stop collection efforts. On a repayment plan, you will make one, convenient reduced payment; however the greatest benefit may be satisfaction of seeing quick results. Most Money Management International/CCCS clients cut their consumer credit card debt repayment times by several months or, in some cases, years.
